Koshari is so popular it has become Egypt’s national dish. Koshari consists of many different elements, layered on top of each other to create a beautiful and elegant masterpiece of a meal. It’s a mixture of chickpeas, pasta, rice, caramelized onions and lentils combined with a zesty tomato sauce. The key to always creating an authentic cultural dish however is the spices and you will learn the combination to bring all these amazing elements together.
Next you will be making Matchbucha. Matbucha is a popular cooked tomato salad made from tomatoes, roasted bell peppers, garlic, spices, and sometimes, eggplant. It is often used as a condiment to accompany many meals. It is typically served with bread, but Chef Nico will show it is an incredible addition to many dishes.
**This is a hands-on class. Each person will have their own station to learn alongside with Chef Nico. You can eat or take your creation afterwards. An electronic recipe & instruction card is emailed to you within 72-hours after the conclusion of the class.**
