Knife Skills Level 1 With The Perfectly “Pared” Pot Pie

Knowing how to use knives skillfully is the foundation of all cooking and doesn’t have to be scary or frustrating. Many homes and even professional cooks don’t always wield a knife correctly. This lack of knowledge can increase food preparation time and make the process harder — and less safe — than it should be. Simply put, good knives are the foundation of a well-equipped kitchen. This class remedies all these basic issues: You will learn how to slice, dice, chop, and much more in the safest and most efficient manner. This class will even guide you through the practice of keeping your knives sharp and handling them correctly.  **And as an added bonus, each person who registers will receive their own paring knife to use during class and to take home with them.

After Chef Nico goes through his discussion with you about knife skills, you will be putting these skills to test and creating a pot pie – slicing, dicing and chopping all of the vegetables for this dish along with creating the creamy sauce to fill into the puff pastry shell.

**This is a hands-on class.  Each person will have their own station to learn alongside with Chef Nico.  You can eat or take your creation afterwards.  An electronic recipe & instruction card is emailed to you within 72-hours after the conclusion of the class.**
